Promising Practices and Other Resources
This section is intended to provide you with resources on effective afterschool practices. The AED Center for Youth Development has generated a list of Promising Practices in Afterschool (PPAS) into a database which also accepts regular submissions from around the globe and maintains an active listserv all of which can be accessed from this section and from this portal.
CYD has attempted to compile a continuum of afterschool practices and activities which range from newer concepts to those which have been in existence longer and have evidence to prove there effectivenesss. In any case, innovation and effectiveness with today's youth in afterschool settings were the guiding principles.
